I’m a 27-year-old emerging theatre producer, born and raised in south-east London. You can usually still find me there.
Since finishing my theatre degree at Warwick six years ago, I’ve been lucky to live, breathe, create and learn bucketloads by working on productions of all shapes and sizes.
As an independent producer, my first commercial project (‘LOSERS’) enjoyed an unexpectedly long lifespan of four years – culminating in sell-out runs at Edinburgh’s Underbelly, Rich Mix in Shoreditch and Warwick Arts Centre (all 2017). I’ve since produced two further projects with the same collaborators (‘WHAT YOU WILL’ and ‘CARMINA URBANA’), co-founding the theatre company Tit4Twat.
I landed my dream day job in May 2018, joining ATG Productions to work on the core production team of their West End and Broadway shows. Over the last two years, I’ve had the unbelievable opportunity to closely work on a huge breadth of shows – from unapologetically mainstream hits including Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5 the Musical and Pretty Woman: The Musical to the Jamie Lloyd Company’s radical reimaginings of classic plays with Hollywood stars in the central roles.
Our department won ‘Producer of the Year’ at The Stage Awards 2020 – receiving particular praise for our unprecedented ‘Pinter at the Pinter’ season (in partnership with Jamie Lloyd) and our UK tour of Ian McKellen’s epic fundraising solo show around the UK.
THE TYPE OF THEATRE I LIKE TO PRODUCE
NEW WRITING AND DEVISED WORK
that takes risks, overflows with imagination and sets out to offer audiences a unique experience to any they've had before
WHERE AUDIENCES ARE INVOLVED OR IMPLICATED
blurring lines between interactive theatre, live art & cabaret - or at least recognising the audience not to be entirely passive bystanders
SHOWS WITH POPULIST APPEAL
attracting crowds who may otherwise pick a musical, a stand-up show or wouldn't even typically step inside a theatre at all
WHICH REVEAL THEMSELVES TO BE DECEPTIVELY SOPHISTICATED
not denying the audience what they 'want' or 'expect', but additionally providing them with something elxtra: a provocation or an invitation
